Please allow at least 2 working days (48 hrs) for us to process repeat prescriptions. There is no need to contact the surgery to follow up your prescription request.
Ordering repeat prescriptions
We encourage patients to use one of the following three options to request repeat prescriptions:
If you need regular repeat medication we will usually give you a repeat prescription request form.
You may order your repeat prescription via paper request if you do not have online access.
For safety reasons we do not take prescription requests by telephone.
Prescription Request Forms
- Tick item(s) required
- Mark 'YES' if we are to send the prescription Windridge Chemist or Dorridge Pharmacy
- Deliver or post to surgery
- Enclose an SAE if we are to send the prescription to you by post
- Allow 2 working days before collecting your prescription from surgery
- Allow 3 working days before collecting your dispensed medication from Windridge Chemist
We encourage all patients to nominate a pharmacy for us to send the prescription to. Please tell us if you want to change your nomination or to nominate in the first instance.
Electronic Prescription Service
The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an NHS service. It allows you to change how your GP sends prescriptions to the pharmacy of your choice.
Download an information leaflet on EPS (PDF, 53KB)
Patients can complete the patient nomination form (PDF, 1.04MB) and take it to the pharmacy of their choice
Please see systems.hscic.gov.uk/eps/patients for further information.
Please note that we can not send electronic prescriptions for some medications to the chemist. Ask at reception for more details.
Questions about your prescription
Contact the surgery if you have questions about your medicine or your prescription.
Your local pharmacists can also answer any questions about your prescription. They can answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.
