It’s helpful when speaking to these services if you know your ‘Body Mass Index’ (or BMI). You can check your BMI using the NHS healthy weight calculator.

Eat Well Move More is a healthy lifestyles programme for families with children aged 4-16 years and up to 25 years with additional needs, who have concerns over their child’s health, and would like support and guidance to make healthy lifestyle changes.

The NHS Health Check is a free check-up of your overall health. It can tell you whether you're at higher risk of getting certain health problems, such as:

- diabetes
- kidney disease
- stroke
During the check-up you'll discuss how to reduce your risk of these conditions.
